FixMix Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Tsafrir Shmuel Or, a sole proprietor, who operates FixMix ("FixMix", "we", "us"). Contact: help@fixmix.app. By creating an account, or by installing or using FixMix, you accept these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use FixMix.

1. What FixMix does — and does not do

1.1 FixMix is a Windows desktop app and a Chrome extension. They adjust how right-to-left text (such as Hebrew, Arabic and Persian) is displayed in the AI chat apps and websites you choose. The adjustment happens on your computer.

1.2 FixMix only adjusts the display, on your computer, while you have it switched on:

When you switch FixMix off, the app or site goes back to its own display.

1.3 FixMix is a reading aid. It can display something wrongly. For example: a line in the wrong direction, numbers or code in the wrong order, or a list in the wrong place. Always check important content (code, commands, numbers, names, links, legal, financial or medical text) in its original form before you rely on it, copy it or act on it.

2. FixMix works on your computer

2.1 The display correction happens on your device. Your conversations do not pass through FixMix's servers.

2.2 To work with a desktop app, FixMix connects through a local developer interface that exists in that app. The interface is reachable only from inside your computer, not from the internet. It is a standard capability of the app that any program on your computer could switch on, so FixMix adds no new access from outside. FixMix may close and reopen an app, but only after you press Confirm. The interface stays available until the app fully closes, also after you switch FixMix off. To disconnect fully, quit the app. The Privacy Policy (section 3.2) explains this in more detail.

2.3 Claude Desktop works differently. FixMix uses the developer option that you turn on yourself in Claude's own menu. You can turn it off there, and it switches off when Claude fully quits.

2.4 You choose which apps and sites to connect. FixMix helps you read the text correctly. Each app's and site's own terms continue to apply (section 4). We recommend keeping your computer protected with up-to-date antivirus software.

3. No connection with AI companies

3.1 FixMix is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed, sponsored, approved or supported by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Microsoft, Cursor or any other maker of the apps and websites it works with ("AI vendors").

3.2 We use those product names only to say that FixMix works with them. All product names and trademarks belong to their owners.

3.3 AI vendors can change their apps or sites at any time. FixMix may then stop working with them, fully or partly, until we adapt it, or for good. We do not promise that FixMix will keep working with any app, site or version.

4. Your responsibility toward AI vendors and your organisation

4.1 You use AI apps and websites under their own terms. You are responsible for checking that your use of FixMix with an app or site (including turning on any option it needs) is allowed by that vendor's terms and by the rules of your employer or organisation. We do not promise that any AI vendor allows it.

4.2 FixMix is made only to adjust the display. Do not use it, or try to change it, to get around an AI service's usage limits, content rules or other protections, or to extract data from it.

4.3 If an AI vendor or your organisation objects, stop using FixMix with that app or site.

5. Your account

5.1 You need a FixMix account. You sign in with your name, your e-mail address and a one-time code we e-mail you. Give true details, and keep your e-mail account and your Windows account secure.

5.2 Age. You must be at least 18 years old to use FixMix.

5.3 Your account is personal. Do not share it or let other people use it. You may use it on up to 2 computers of your own.

5.4 During the alpha, FixMix is available by invitation only. Access may have an end date.

6. Testing versions

6.1 FixMix is now in an early testing stage (alpha). Testing versions may contain more errors, may change a lot, and may stop working or be withdrawn at any time.

6.2 If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you. Please do not send private chat content as feedback.

7. Licence

7.1 We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use FixMix for your own use, under these terms.

7.2 FixMix, its engine, design and content belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of anything. Open-source parts included in FixMix are under their own licences.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, sell, rent, resell, sublicense or redistribute FixMix, or offer it as a service to others;
• reverse engineer, decompile or take FixMix apart, except where the law allows it despite this term;
• bypass or tamper with sign-in, usage counting, licence checks or security;
• use automated scripts against our server, overload it, or try to reach other users' data;
• use FixMix to break the law, or to break the terms of an AI vendor, a website or your organisation (section 4);
• rely on FixMix where a display mistake could cause death, injury, or serious financial or other damage.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

9. Where FixMix may be used

9.1 You may not download or use FixMix if you are in a country or region where the laws that apply to us or to you forbid providing it, or if you are named on a sanctions list that applies to us. Do not use FixMix to give access to such people.

9.2 We may decide not to offer FixMix in some countries.

10. Price

10.1 FixMix is free during the alpha. There are no paid plans at this time.

10.2 FixMix counts your usage (see the Privacy Policy, section 4.4). During the alpha there is no usage limit.

11. Updates and availability

11.1 We may update FixMix, change or remove features, or stop supporting an app, a site or an old version.

11.2 The installed desktop app checks for updates and downloads them by itself. It installs an update when you close FixMix. If we mark your version as no longer supported, it may install the update at once, and FixMix may not run until it is updated.

11.3 FixMix needs our server for sign-in and account checks. We try to keep it available but cannot promise it will always work. If the server cannot be reached, FixMix keeps working for a limited time, based on your last successful check.

11.4 We may end the service. If we do, we will give reasonable notice.

12. No warranty, and limits of our liability

12.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, FixMix is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes any warranty that it will be free of errors, work without interruption, work with every app, site or version, be fit for a particular purpose, or display every text correctly. Testing versions may contain more errors than usual.

12.2 To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage, or for loss of data, profits, business or reputation, arising from your use of FixMix or from an AI vendor's app, site or decision; and (b) our total liability for all claims connected with FixMix is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.

12.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. For example: for fraud, intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Ending these terms

You may stop using FixMix at any time, uninstall it, and ask us to delete your account (help@fixmix.app). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example, sections 3, 12 and 15) continue after the terms end.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you may stop using FixMix before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.

15. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of FixMix is established, and its competent courts will hear disputes. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows it.

16. General

16.1 These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about FixMix.

16.2 If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up.

16.3 You may not transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them to a buyer of the FixMix business, with notice to you. The Privacy Policy (section 7) explains what happens to your data.

16.4 We may write to you by e-mail at your account's address, or in the app.

16.5 These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation and it differs from the English text, the English text prevails, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
